19 APR 2020 ~ Totally understand the desire to get back to normal. . . however . . . when the experts say it's too soon, that's who I am going to believe and trust !!
November is the starting point if all goes as it should. With a leader that cares about people and the world we can start healing and rectifying the damage that has been done these past 3 years !! It won't be easy or quick, but, we have to save the planet for those that come after us !! I want my grandkids and their grandkids to Love and Appreciate what I had growing up !! Our world is still beautiful for the most part, but, that is because Nature is designed to heal itself, if possible. We cannot continue killing it with our excessive abuse, ignorance and indifference.
Maybe not in my lifetime or my grandkids lifetime, but I am praying we get it right and can heal our world. Take care & Thanks for sharing and supporting !! sandra
Kate O the thing is you can't beat nature Even if you don't feel like dealing with it like a certain someone. If it helps it is usually drastic things like these that cause people to be driven towards improvement. That won't be over by November I think because the consequences are too big. I have a feeling this will be the case across the world. Goverments depend on calm and a good economy after all. It'll work out somehow for all of us.
Seems like those of us that I think to be sane & reasonably intelligent have not been able to wake up the wanna be Kings followers, but, Mother Nature sure has !! When presented with life & death situations he has proven himself to be nothing but a man/child throwing tantrums, blaming others & lying. Hoping & Praying this deadly crisis & how he & his republican cohorts has mismanaged it will be upper most in peoples minds when it comes time to vote this November !! America and Americans can not afford another 4 years of his lies, attacks on our Constitution & the hatred & violence he has promoted. Praying that the powers that be are listening & agree with the majority of peoples of this world, because it isn't just America affected !! Hugs !! sandra
Kate O We haven't done right by the earth that is for sure. Now people will see who is worth following and has our best interests at heart. Over there especially with November coming up that is important. I'm sure you were not surprised, but others will have been surprised at how this turned out. It is a necessary wake up call for some. Nothing else for it but holding on for all of us.
I believe you are correct !! Nature will take care of her own in her own good time !! We have been abusing the gifts we've been given and this is a wake up call !! Whether we do the right thing is another story !! The past 4 years has been a test of character that is for sure !! I am hoping and praying all will work out for the good of all the peoples of the world.

Kate O Rashness never helped anyone you are right. Walking before running that is the thing. Some people will never agree with this, but just remember that most people do have enough common sense. You'll get on the other side of this whole thing. Not yet, but these bad things always have some good consequences as well. Often unintended. Nature finds a way to right itself in the end and in the meantime this seems to be a test of character as well.
sandra ~ At the time of the opening of the beach, we didn't have one step at a time policy. The Governor in Florida caved to the protesters so he opened that beach. Seems we have a lot of spoiled and entitled people here in America who do not believe covid-19 is a serious threat and that their rights are being violated by requesting a stay at home policy. Most of them are supporters of the President and their gatherings have been filled with hatred and anger. Something that has been going on since 2016 !! Because of them I am at times very ashamed of being an American. From what I am reading and hearing other countries are slowly easing into re-opening cities and businesses and there have been some protests, but nothing like here !!

Heard about this reoping as well. Even here we still have little under two weeks to go before we can get started on that. Do you have a slow phasing out policy over there? Here we go one step at a time with lots of social distancing still in place to make it safe and avoid a general rush. No big gatherings for a long while yet.
I really think those people are living in a different reality, controlled by their hatred and paranoia !! To be honest !! They all deserve whatever transpires and most definitely deserve #45 !!

Unfortunately, some Governors are caving and allowing people back to their normal way of doing things, Those Governors that are standing their ground are being protested, sent hate mail and death threats. These are the followers of #45 pretty much !! Makes me wonder what it will take for them to understand the consequences of their actions. Maybe they'll lose their parents, spouse or their child and then who will they blame ?? The Doctors & Nurses that didn't save their loved ones will be blamed, I am sure !! So very sad !!!
