Alber Elbaz’s fall collection for Lanvin was a perfect mix of the designer’s signature dresses (a strapless midnight blue mini, a long sleeve off the shoulder red cocktail) and some new surprises like dark coats, flat pointy shoes and wide brimmed hats. There were skinny heeled ankle boots and metal chokers. The models’ hair was tied into a long messy braid — very of the season. It was, by and large, a darker show than we have seen from Lanvin of late save for the bright colors splashed in the last 10 looks.
